New Music 101: Intro to ElectronicaEver wanted to compose music and instantly hear it live by an ensemble of professional musicians? Well, there's an app for that: composer Jakub Ciupinski made one just for you to use tonight. Metropolis Ensemble, New York's "hippest classical gang in the city" (Manhattan Users Guide), presents a mind-blowing night of interactive musical performances. New Music 101: Intro to Electronica will unfold in three distinct parts, from involving audience members to conduct and compose live music via an iPhone application, to an after-party with a live set of minimal house loops and electronica beats composed by Jakub and performed in real-time by a gesture-controlled system of his design... you have to see it to believe it! Come Early for Cocktails and ComposingA work of art itself, Le Poisson Rouge embodies the experimental philosophy that drives the venue. You're invited to join us at 6:30pm for dinner and drinks.
